Napoleon Dynamite

This movie is so hot right now. And I can understand why. It is sooo frickin funny. I'm in love with it. It is one of those rare movies that can have no real plot and can get away with it. It was so funny. It is about Napoleon, a highschool boy, you know the type, the supreme ultimate geek that likes fantasy creatures (ex: A liger)and tucks his t-shirts into jeans, who doesn't even give a shit that he is so uncool. The one that is just so uncool, that even other uncool kids make fun of him. The movie follows him around and gives us the everyday life of Napoleon and the people in his life. Like his brother, Kip, who is magically even more losery than Napoleon. As well as his friend Pedro, the new Mexican student who is as equally socially awkward. Not to mention as well, do you remember the little girl from Corrina, Corrina and Andre? Well she's in it too! It took me forever to figure out who it was but she plays the geeky girl who has a crush on Napoleon. What makes Napoleon so funny is his language and expressions. He never swears and uses words like "Dang!", "Heck no!", and "OH my gosh". But he accentuates these phrases as if he was truely swearing which makes it so funny. His frusterated sighs were personnally my favorite. You have to see it to understand it, but you know we all did it at some point of our pre-pubescent lives. Trying to date this movie was hard because you weren't sure if it took place in the 80's because of the clothes and style, but then they had things like cell phones and internet so then it made you think that it is present day but just in some small Southern American town that is just taking too long to catch up with all the trends. I recommend that everyone see it because it is funny and has a heartwarming ending thanks to Napoleon's dance routine. You all will love it as long as you aren't expecting something with a lot of action and story line. Not only is it a renter, but for me it will be an owner.
