So it's been a while since I posted a movie review. And since school is out, and I don't work, I have watched a-many movies since Hollywood Suicide. I'll give you folks a Christmas update of the movies as a gift from me to you.Christ, I'm sweet ain't I?

Mona Lisa Smile

Yeah. This was a huge let down. I mean the preview looked awesome. Total chick-flick though. But hey, even I am up for a good chick-flick once in a while. I went with my Mom and her friend and daughter as I would never torture the male species to see this crap of an excuse of an woman empowering movie. Julia Roberts plays a free-spirited art professor back in the 1950's. She trys to sway the minds of her young pupils into thinking that marriage is not the end of their academic lives. And it drags on, a bit of romance through out, but all in all really bland. My advice: Just watch the preview. It was way more exciting.

Lolita

Now here's an effed up movie which of course I think is excellent. Jeremy Irons is a 40-some year old professor and moves to a small town in the 1950's. I smell an similiar theme happening here.....but I don't think Mona Lisa would be smiling if she watched this movie. Irons moves into a house with a single mother and her 14 year old brat daughter Deloris (Lo for short), played by Dominique Swain. Anywho, the jist of it is, Irons falls in love with Lo because of a past teenage heartbreak and obeys every word she says. They have this passionate relationship as they travel across the country and is creepy in an oompa loompa type way. And as wrong as the relationship seems, it almost feels normal. It's a darkly sexy film and I know it sounds gross to think but you need to watch it to understand. Concluding, I highly reccomend this movie if your looking for something out of the ordinary.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

There's not much i can say about this one except that it was a great ending to a fabulous trilogy. And that I wouldn't mind marrying Aragorn. What a hunk.
