Hidalgo
In the words of Mugatu: "Viggo..........he's so hot right now." Aragorn turned cowboy.....could it get any better? So the Christ flick was sold-out AGAIN, and Hidalgo was the next choice in line. And a good one at that. Viggo Mortenson plays a drunk endurance racer in old West 1840's. Hidalgo is his mustange horse. He gets invited by the Arabian king to compete in the World's longest endurance race, 3000 miles across the Arabian desert. "And if the desert doesn't kill you, then your other opponents will." So he faces a-many-a challenges along the way, saves a girl here, rescues a rider there, you know, the ultimate American hero. But there's lots of wit and funny moments, lots of cheesy lines, but were meant more for humor. There's some good Arabian sword-fight action and lots of close calls, making for some great suspense near the end of the film. All in all, Hidalgo was a good movie. I enjoyed it thouroughly and Viggo.......you are so hot right now.
